Quarter 4 Final Submission

Within the cover page, I decided to change the font of the title. This font is very professional and it coordinates with all of the other article previews. The bright green color creates a divide between the other parts of the cover page. This allows the viewer's eyes to wonder to the other features of the magazine. 

I decided to make the whole page transluent, so the attention would go towards the highlights of the magazine, rather than the flowers. I also added three featured articles for each subject, listing them in order of apperance. This allows the reader to have a clear understanding of what articles are featuring in this magazine. 

For this article I decided to change the color of the paper, before I had the color layout on a darkertone, but i realized that I needed more of a contrast to make the page attract readers. 

I also added a design in between the article that separates the supporting information with the ending paragraph. This stylish divide makes the article look very professional.

Creative Critical Reflection 4

How did you integrate technologies- software, hardware, and online- in this project?

- The software that I used stayed consistent throughout my process. I used Publisher 2016 to be able to design my magazine page. using this software was pretty simple. I have used it a few times before starting my project. Although I am not certified in this program, so I was not able to create anything too complex. I believe that I was able to use the software to my best ability, and I conducted minor research for techniques within Publisher, but nothing too extreme. Using this software, allowed my two page spread be able to be organized, balanced, and reliable.
- When conducting my marketing plan, I was able to include different forms of social media, such as Instagram. This allowed me to complete a plan that would draw attention to the cover page of my magazine. I would say that I am experienced with the social media app of Instagram, I have managed a few business pages before, so I was able to create a new page for Blossom Health and made it public for interactions with others.
- The use of the internet allowed me to have the ability to research and find new inspirations that featured within my magazine. The research on different magazines made it useful to find out what the best design would be for mine and compare and contrast with other health magazines.

Creative Critical Reflection 3

How did your production skills develop throughout this project? 

My Production Skills:
Production is the process of any activities utilized to produce or create a media product. Specifically magazine production includes planning, taking photos, conducting interviews, writing articles, layout of pages, etc.

Throughout this project I was able to have a good understanding of different uses of media. Before I began my project I wrote in my first blog post about several of my skills that will set me apart from my peers and make my magazine exceed expectations

- My planning allowed me to be able to stay organized and on one path for the rest of my process. 

- My flat plan and table of contents are two different ways that allowed me to be organized and plan according to the issue of my magazine. One of my other skills is that I am very creative, my use of different ideas have led me to focus on what will catch the eyes of my audience on my two page spread. I soon realized that most people towards the beginning of the new year wish to start a new diet or begin one, create new exercise routines, shop smarter, have a healthy mindset, etc. 

- When planning and taking my images, I wanted to be able to include a wide range of styles of different shots of food that connect to the readers. This is why I used different close up images, to be able to make the reader feel as if they were there with me. This also gave them the ability to see the different ingredients up close.

- I also wanted the readers to have a personal connection with the article, so I decided to conduct an interview with one of the sellers at the farmers market. This makes the readers feel that they are gaining information from a person that wants the best for them. This allowed me to be very organized and specific with my questions that I asked. I decided to use questions that allowed her to be able to give me a very detailed response and the ability for a clear understanding of the procedure when at the farmers market. 

-My article is a major part of my project and that is when all of the information that I have gained through my research and practice comes into effect. My article discusses a healthy organic meal on a budget. Most people want to be able to have the ability to shop organic and not put a dent into their budget. This article helps many people that feel that they want to go organic and do not know where to begin. 

-The layout of the page is also very important because it allows the reader to focus on the main ideas of the article. Within this article it is to encourage people to have a healthier diet by going organic. My skills really shined through this process because I was able to include many different images and information that I have gained through my research, interview, photo-shoots, and creative appearance of the article.
